Bite-sized brain teaser to solve in a minute or less.

The Number Trick
Category: Math, Number Magic
- Pick any 3‑digit number whose first and last digits differ by at least 2 (and aren’t the same).
- Reverse its digits and subtract the smaller from the larger number.
- Then take that result, reverse its digits, and add the two.
- What number do you always get?
Solution
No matter which valid 3‑digit number you start with, you always end up with 1089.
