Let's calculate how much Jake can earn in one day. During his 9-hour shift, Emma puts in 8 hours of working time and 1.5 hours total of break time. $50 x 8 working hours = $400 earned during working hours $25 x 1.5 hour = $37.50 earned during break time $280 + $20 = $437.50 earned during one full day Jake earns $437.50 in one day $437.50 x 4 days = $900 Jake will earn a total of $1,750 if he complete the job within the estimated time of 4 days. |
