Monthly Mystery: The Librarian’s Discovery - Part Two

July 2023

Uncover a nefarious plan in this three-part mystery game.

Solve mildly challenging puzzles to unlock the mystery.

Benny Bookman, the librarian at the Oddtown Public Library, has stumbled upon a doubly disturbing discovery. Initially, he uncovered a book defaced by borrowers' scribbles. However, the distress deepened when he sensed these weren't mere random markings; rather, someone might be orchestrating a sinister plan, communicating covertly with fellow borrowers. In this three-part mystery, can you assist Benny in deciphering the plan's details and identifying the conspirators, enabling him to report them promptly to the authorities.

Part Two

This is Part Two of a three-part series. You may choose to first solve Part One. Otherwise, you may just start with this puzzle. Be sure to check out Part Three to unlock the complete mystery with the final puzzle.

Please note: The answer to Part One may have been been shared below.

Clue:

Drawing insights from the compromised book spread, Benny conducts an extensive examination of the library. During his search, he unearths additional notes strategically concealed by the planners in the corners of three distinct shelves: those housing books starting with A, M, and P. Explore these notes carefully to unravel the hidden agenda these individuals might be plotting.

Hint

First note: There may be real words between all the gibberish.

Second note: What doesn't go forward may go backward.

Solution

First note: All routes between the old and new location will require the truck to be on 14th Avenue between the intersections of 30th Street and 39th Street.

Second note: The block between the intersections of 34th and 35th is suitable for us to make the move.

Third note: An illustration of the truck on the road and where each team (marked by the planners' initials) will approach it from.
