  • What is a murder mystery game about?
    A murder mystery game consists of clues to help solve a (fictional) murder investigation. These clues may be in the form of puzzles, cryptic messages, police reports, letters, etc. The clues provide a backstory around the victim and suspects, possible motives to kill, and evidence to eliminate suspects. Players act as detectives and use these clues to figure out who the killer is.
  • What all is included in an Incident Mystery Game?
    Our games consist of: - Instructions booklet (Includes rules + hints and solutions to individual clues) - Workbook - Pencil (Physical games only) - Packet 1 - Contains the first set of clues; open first - Packet 2 - Contains the second set of clues; open after going through Packet 1 - Packet 3 - Contains the third set of clues; open after going through Packets 1 and 2 - Case Solved - Contains documents that reveal the killer's identity and wrap up the story
  • Is there anything needed to play that isn't included in the package?
    Anyone from skilled detectives to amateurs can play an Incident. Physical Games: Space to pin up or lay out the evidence would be ideal, though not absolutely necessary. The package includes all components necessary to complete the game, including hints and solutions to clues as well as a guided workbook and pencil to jot down notes. Digital Games: Internet connectivity will be required to download the game as a PDF, but it's not required to play. If you are printing out the game (recommended) If you wish to print out the game (recommended), then a printer (with sufficient ink) will be required. Space to pin up or lay out the evidence would be ideal, though not absolutely necessary. The file includes all components necessary to complete the game, including hints and solutions to clues as well as a guided workbook. You would need a pen/pencil to take notes. Not printing the game If you do not wish to print out the game, then a digital device such as a phone or laptop will be required to view the PDF. You would also need a pen/pencil and notebook/paper to take notes.
  • Is an Incident Mystery Game like an escape room?
    Kind of. You decipher codes and piece together clues to gather information. Since this is a murder mystery, you use these clues to figure out a story, eliminate suspects, and identify the killer.

A brief comparison: A physical game is delivered in a box to your address - A digital game is delivered as PDF files via a download link. A physical game takes a few days to get shipped - A digital game can be downloaded instantly. A physical game comes ready to play - A digital game is printed at home (It's recommended to print the game).
  • Is a subscription required?
    No. All of our games are stand-alone and require no monthly commitments. It is a one-time purchase. You do not require a subscription or need to wait for future episodes.
  • How much does a game cost?
    Visit our Shop or Pricing menu to check out prices for each game or category of games. A game in the Mini-cident category, with up to 2 hours of playing time, costs US$19.99 for a digital version. A game in the Incident category, with up to 4 hours of playing time, costs US$29.99 for a digital version and US$44.99 for a digital version. Shipping for physical products costs US$6.99 anywhere in the USA. There are no shipping charges for digital games. Taxes may be applicable, depending on your location.

  • Is an Incident Mystery Game suitable for parties and occasions?
    Our games are perfect for a small group activity, game night, date night, or even as a solo activity. The game may not be very suitable for big, loud parties, as reading through evidence requires concentration and so a smaller, quieter setting may be more appropriate.
  • Are these games appropriate to be played with family?
    Since our games involve a murder investigation, some details may be unsuitable for children or adults who may be sensitive to such content. While the details shared aren't graphic or gruesome, it is at the players' discretion who they may want to play the game with. We recommend a minimum age of 14, ideally under parental supervision. Depending on the game, there may also mention of potentially disturbing concepts, including but not limited to affairs, harassment, gambling, drugs, violence, and fraud, though without extreme details. There is no profanity or adult content in any of the games.
  • What languages are the games available in?
    Currently, English is the only language our games are offered in.

    All of our games are designed, printed, and packaged in the USA. All of our physical and digital games are designed in-house in the USA. All physical game components are printed in the USA. All physical games are assembled in-house in the USA.

  • How is an Incident Mystery Game set up?

  • How many people can play?
    An Incident Mystery Game can be played solo or with a group. Fewer players would be ideal.
  • How long does it take to complete a game?
    The playing time for a Mini-cident is up to 1 hour. The playing time for an Incident is up to 4 hours. Playing time may vary based on the number of players, their skill level, and pace of play. There is no time limit. You may complete the game in one sitting or play it over a few days.
  • What is INCIGATION?
    All Incident Mystery Games are played using our signature format INCIGATION (Incident-Investigation): Conduct an organized investigation in stages Complete an objective at every stage Crush every clue using the E.A.R.S.   • What are the clues going to be like?
    Clues can range from reading material (like newspaper clippings and incident reports) to puzzles (like cryptic notes that need decoding). As you read through the material and solve clues, you will start figuring out a story, the suspects' motives, and who the killer may be or not be.
  • What if an item is missing?
    All physical games are carefully packed and rechecked to ensure all items are in place. Each evidence envelope contains a Evidence Inventory, which we recommend going through to ensure you have everything. However, if a piece seems to be missing, recheck the envelope as it may still be in there, or the general area where the package was opened as it may have fallen out. If you are still unable to locate an item, contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please be sure to provide the email address that was used to place the order through our website within 30 days of receiving the package. We are unable to provide support for games purchased through resellers. All digital games are complete in PDF files.
  • What if an item is damaged?
    All physical games are carefully packed and rechecked to ensure all items are intact. However, if a piece seems to be damaged and unusable, contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please be sure to provide the email address that was used to place the order through our website within 30 days of receiving the package. We are unable to provide support for games purchased through resellers.
  • Where can we find hints to clues?
    Each game comes with an instructions booklet which includes hints and solutions to all clues. Each hint provides just a slight nudge in the right direction, while the solution will disclose what the clue is all about. These do not reveal the final answer (the killer's identity), as that is shared in the Case Solved packet.
  • Are digital devices and the internet required to play?
    Physical Games: The game is a complete package. The use of internet or digital devices is not required, which may be ideal for those who prefer screen-free time or may be playing the game in a place with limited connectivity. Digital Games: Our digital games are downloaded as PDFs. Once downloaded, internet connectivity is no longer required to play. If the entire game (including instructions, clues, hints, solutions, and the final reveal) is printed out, then digital devices may also not be required. However, if you do not have the game printed out, then a device such as a phone or laptop will be required to view the PDF.
  • Can a game be replayed?
    Each game is a fictional murder investigation designed with one outcome. Once played with the solution revealed, the game will lose the element of mystery. Our games are a one-time experience and cost less than an outing or many other one-time activities.
  • Will a game be collaborative or competitive?
    Our games are collaborative (if you are playing with others), and players are meant to solve the mystery as a team. If you wish to make it competitive, you could get separate games, split into teams, and compete on who successfully solves the mystery first. Our games can be played solo or with others.
  • What is your refund and cancelation policy?
    Physical Games / Products: If you change your mind about the purchase of a physical game(s) or product(s), you may request a cancelation and refund within 24 hours of placing the order. Once the purchased product(s) has been shipped, we are unable to process any cancelations and refunds. Sorry, we are unable to accept returns at this point.     The shipping cost for a physical game is US$6.99, anywhere in the USA (50 states and DC). Currently, we are not shipping to other countries. Please contact us if you wish to find out when we will start shipping to your region. There are no shipping costs for digital games.
