In the midst of a sluggish day at Dials Watch Co., the proprietor, Mr. Dials, decided to retreat to the back room for some watch repairs. Unintentionally, he drifted into a short nap. Upon awakening thirty minutes later, he recalled leaving his cherished antique pocket watch on a counter in the main showroom. Concerned that someone might have entered during his brief slumber, he discovered the pocket watch missing. With no associates present at the time and lacking functional cameras, Mr. Dials embarked on a frantic search for clues. He discerned several unusual elements:
The lingering, distinct musky aroma of a particular perfume
A water ring on a counter, presumably from a cold, icy drink
A couple of pink rose petals on the floor

Across the street, the convenience store beckoned with a sign advertising free upsizing on all slushies.
Next door, the bank's guard was adjusting a sign highlighting special cashback deals on new accounts.
The newspaper stand at the intersection diverged from its usual offerings by featuring flowers for sale.
Down the street, the video shop showcased six new rental releases at its entrance.
A few doors away, the property manager proudly displayed a sign announcing the sale of 11 homes this month.
