Clue:
Eager to uncover more clues about the potential thief of his watch, Mr. Dials decided to inquire around the vicinity.
- The bank's guard shared that he had observed only one person entering and leaving the watch store within the last half hour. Unfortunately, he hadn't caught a glimpse of their face and couldn't discern whether it was a man or a woman.
- The newspaper stand owner provided insights, revealing that three individuals had purchased pink roses that day. A blonde woman acquired a full bouquet, a dark-haired man selected a mix of white and pink roses, and a salt-and-pepper-haired man bought a single pink rose, placing it in his pocket.
- The convenience store salesman confirmed six recent slushie purchases. The customers included two skateboard-toting teenagers, a woman with a bouquet of roses, a middle-aged woman accompanied by her grandson, and a man with a rose tucked in his pocket.
Utilize this information to assist Mr. Dials in narrowing down potential suspects in the search for the watch thief.

Hint
See if you can shortlist suspects based on the clues found inside the store and the information provided by the people nearby. |
Solution
Only one person entered the watch store while Mr. Dials was asleep, so there is only one suspect. Three people purchased pink roses that day - A blonde-haired woman, a dark-haired man, and a man with salt-and-pepper hair. The thief is one of them, as indicated by the rose petals found inside the store. Among those who purchased slushies, two matched the descriptions for those who also purchased pink roses - The blonde-haired woman and the man with salt-and-pepper hair. The water ring on the counter was left by one of those two. Those two are our final suspects. |
